Brisbane: Where Culture, Nature and Storylines Converge — A Shore Excursion Renaissance
Over the past few months, we’ve had the absolute privilege of working alongside some of Brisbane’s brightest emerging tourism operators as part of the BEDA Trade Ready Cruise Program. This program was designed to nurture and elevate new and evolving shore excursion products with the goal of strengthening Brisbane’s position as one of Australia’s premier cruise ports.
Brisbane is a port of ease and authenticity — a subtropical city where contrast and connection collide. It’s where Meanjin’s ancient cultural heritage meets riverside dining, island escapes, and rooftop cocktails. It’s where 65,000 years of the world’s oldest living culture flows seamlessly into contemporary creativity and innovation. And it’s these rich storylines, these immersive, personal experiences, that cruise visitors are increasingly seeking.
From local cruises to First Nations-led galleries, camel farms to street art safaris, Brisbane’s offering is unlike anywhere else. We’re proud to say that the following participants have made it to the finish line of the program — and they represent the next wave of shore excursion excellence:
Brisbane Whale Watching
Birrunga Gallery Hub
Brisbane Alive
Delectable Tours
Devon Pixies Tea House
Indigiscapes
Kangaroo Segway Tours
Koala & River Cruise
Pineapple Tours
Straddie Brewing Co
Summer Land Camels
Urban Tours
White Ridge Farm
Each of these businesses brings something special to the table — unique experiences that are personal, immersive, and naturally wonderful. Together, they help tell the story of a city that is laid back yet ambitious, ancient yet innovative, and always ready to welcome the world.
As cruise visitation continues to grow, Brisbane’s evolution as a destination is unfolding in full view — and we’re excited to play a small part in shaping its story.
